Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!

Wow, I am tripping down memory lane. I remember in the 50's and 60's my mom always got me an egg with my name on it in pretty icing. It had bows and flowers too. It had a lid that came off and became a kind of box for other little goodies. I remember fruit n nut eggs. Almost any candy maker in those days had a version. Morgan thanks for the link. Candy buttons! Why did we like those? You ended up eating as much paper as candy.
