How can i draw cyclic ketones???? Can u give me a website that best describe these:

a. cyclic ketone, C6H8O
b. An aryl ketone, C9H10Oxygen
c. A diketone, C6H10O2
d.A 2-Bromo aldehyde, C5H9BrO

help me please??

a) A cyclic ketone is simply some ring-shaped alkane (in this case, a 6-membered ring), in which one of the carbons is C=O. Now, in this case C6H8O, you will also have a double bond between 2 carbons somewhere in the molecule because you don't have enough hydrogens to saturate the molecule.

b) This will be like acetone with a phenyl ring attached to one of the end carbons of acetone.

c) This will simply be hexane (a straight chain of 6 carbons) where any two of the interior carbons are C=O

d) In this case, the C=O will be on an end carbon, and the Br will be bound to the next carbon.
