That's not impossible since contact lense companies couple provide custom made lenses for you that look all white from the outside..although I wouldn't want to try putting them in the dog's eyes (maybe get the Japanese to build a robot Sandy ).

However, a more difficult task would be to stage the musical in an intimate enough setting that the audience could tell the actors had no pupils and get creeped out by it..I mean, and still make money...

The last Little Orphan Annie musical, entitled, oddly enough, Annie, was quite a failure.

Hmmmm........ Interesting thought. I wonder if the SPCA would get upset about using a dog with no eyes?

LOL I see what you mean, in real life it would be very disturbing in the comics it's not quite so bad.
