It's the blue-white stars that are the hottest. In fact, they just found one not too long ago that's several thousand times the size of our Sun. (Sorry, I don't remember any of the details, but it should be fairly easy to find on the web) It was interesting because scientists had thought before this that massive blue-whites couldn't exist without tearing themselves apart due to the extreme ferocity of their internal reactions.
