If you filled in a ticket and paid money, then you might well have won. If you got a notification out of the blue, it's definitely a scam. Remember, there's no such thing as a free lunch - you're not going to get something for nothing!

Did you buy a ticket? If not, it's a scam. If you did buy a ticket you can easily check with the National Lottery website if your numbers match theirs.

It's a scam and probably bangs on about £500,000 British Pounds which isn't even a term for the currency.

Be careful if you are invited to be presented with the prize, perhaps at your local football ground just before the kick off. This has been used to get people out of the way while their house is burgled.

If you were notified on the net it was a scam. If you took the ticket to a retailer and claimed, it wasn't.

If you didn't BUY a ticket, then it is a 100% guaranteed scam.
