I put a 3 inch diameter hole in the corner of a fiberglass shower when unloading it from the truck. I purchased a repair kit from the manufacturer but it appears to be intended for only minor repairs. Is there a good way to repair this, such as with a fiberglass "backer" or something then apply the repair kit?? I have good access since the shower is still sitting in the driveway. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Any good hardware store has fiberglass. You would need the matting as well as the fiberglass resin. Don't forget to make a mould of the other corner from some material so that the corner doesn't come out flat. Or, ask for assistance at a local auto body repair shop.

Call the plumbing supply such as Morrisons, Moore, Fergusons, etc or any local reputable supply house and I bet they have a phone number to someone who repairs tub/shower units. They have units repaired all the time and look professional. Best of luck.

Fiberglass repair is a specialty trade. While you could repair the hole, it's doubtful you will match the color or get a finish you are happy with. Check the phonebook for repair shops. Remember, you will be looking at it for years to come.
