I already backed up the My Documents folder, my Internet Explorer favorites, my email, my saved games, my downloads folder, the drivers for my video card and sound card, my music folder, my baby's pictures, and the stuff I have on my desktop. I think I got everything, but every time I reformat, it seems like I forget something. Can you think of anything I might be forgetting?

An inventory of ALL of your programs and utilities. You do not know what you have till they are gone.

It's a prickling feeling that every one gets while reformatting. It's just like you haven't backed-up something precious and will lose it on reformatting. Just surf through your C: (Program Files, Documents & Settings), D: etc. to see if you have forgotten to back up something.

Get an extra hard disk, then format that one.

Add your files to the new hard disk and keep the old one as backup.

Nothing lost. :)
