how do you feel atlanta are coping without him this season??

I'd say they're doing about as well as they would with him. They've incorporated a new offense this year, and since Vick wasn't known for putting in extra time in the tape room or studying, they're about as good as they'd be with him.

Michael Vick was a glorified punt returner. Nothing more. He was never, at any point, a quality NFL quarterback.

I live here and follow the Falcons closely. The team really has moved on. There isn't much talk about it anymore, except from some blind Vick loyalists who insist he shouldn't have been punished since he murdered dogs, not humans.

As to performance, remember that this team was 7-9 with Vick last year, and is currently breaking in a whole new line with an entirely different blocking philosophy. They would be taking their lumps even if Vick were under center.

They might have pulled out the win yesterday with him since he can slow down a rush (Joey H got sacked SEVEN times), but this team was destined for mediocrity no matter who was under center.

Without Vick it is looking like 6-8 wins would be all this team could shoot for, and only that because the division looks so suspect. I'd say a 4-5 win season is likely in the cards.

Harrington still hasn't learned to think on his feet and get rid of the bal quickly, and with this porous line that is a recipe for disaster.

They will move forward and eventually get better, but Harrington isn't the answer here. You can't watch them in these past few games and not realize that there are many sacks that Joey took that Vick would have gotten out of. At the same time defenses play totally different against them.
For those who like to throw out the "they were 7-9 with him" let's not be so naive to think that it was all Vick. The defense seriously fell apart also.
I think they will work out in the end, but it will take a couple of years.

Like crap. Psychologically and emotionally they will have to not only get use to not having Vick there but don't forget about Jim Mora the Coach. Vick was the leader and Mora was like and respected by all the players. This year is going to go to the the most stable and cool headed team this year. I beleive that this year will produce some real surprises. Chicago is definitely a contender, Pittsburgh, Pats? (one win don't make him a contender --remeber they lost Marty the man and Belli had the signals in his locker - head). New Orleans is limping and CIncy beat by the Cleveland Browns. I would look to the Mid West for the World Champion this year and perhaps West "young" man.

I think the field goal kicker who just sucks, and the trade of Allen Rossum hurt the Falcons far more than losing Michael Vick.

I know some supporters would like to say, ah, it would be different with Vick, but that's highly unlikely. Prater would have still missed those field goals and they would have still begun most every drive with poor field position because the trade of Allen Rossum should have never happened if they didn't have someone capable of replacing him, which they don't.

new coach.. new QB.. alot of off the field distractions.. and they didn't get blown out? I'd say they're coping.. just haven't found a way to win yet.. they'll improve over the season and take a QB in the first round next year (probably Brohm)

Nobody is indispensible; not even Mike Vick. Atlanta will regroup and keep on moving forward!

So far not so good, 0 - 2. Everybody said this is Joey's breakout year, but I'm still waiting.

Better off without him. He's a running back or maybe a kick returner, but no quarterback.

They're sucking without him, of course they would have sucked with him.
