.....are her comments about sending our children "off to be slaughtered" wildly inappropriate?!? I mean it's not like we have the draft or anything.
Did you agree with her acceptance speech remark - if the world was run by mothers, we would have no war?!?
I am a CFO at a large company - and I have one office full of nothing but women and they are ALWAYS at war - backbiting, gossiping, sniping, etc. - God forbid, any of them had the BOMB!!!
I think the exact opposite is true. If women ran the world, we would ALWAYS be at war. Someone's feelings would always be hurt!!
Do you agree???

A few of you women really seem to have your feelings hurt by my question....which in an odd sort of way, also proves my point doesn't it?
As a gender as a whole - women tend to be more sensitive and less forgiving; and better able to hold a grudge.
Offices full of NOTHING BUT women have always been trouble. Now add a man to the mix, and they will behave. Take the man out, and out come the claws.
I am not the first MALE Supervisor to have observed this phenomena in the work force.

Well I would put money on it that she has no clue as to the inner workings of the military, such as the fact that every person currently serving is a volunteer. It has been my experience that many who speak out the most, often have the weakest grasp of the actual facts. Which people like Sally Fields and Rosie O'Donnell prove very well everytime they open their mouths. She is speaking out for the same reason that many actors and actresses are speaking out right now, because it's fashionable. And of course many of them are doing it more because of a dislike of Bush than they are because of actual facts. If Bill Clinton was President right now,and running this same war I doubt we would be hearing much from those on the left.
And as for women fighting,I have to say I see the same thing every day. In almost every family I know, including my own, 85% of the infighting and feuding that takes place starts because of the actions of the women. So if the world were ruled entirely by women I would personally fear for our future.

They could bring back the draft, if they wanted to.
I don't think we'd have no war, becasue I find that fighting and bickering amongst ourselves- heck, killing other people for no reason at all- has been present throughout human history. It doesn't matter whether the leader is a man or woman.
Personally though, I find that your views about women are way off and based mainly on experiences you've had in your small section of humanity. Not all women are like that, just like not all men are as beneign as you would probably have us believe.
I have a feeling you put that in there just to get a rise out of people.

Sally Field? Why do Hollywood celebrities and Pop musicians insist on insulting a large part of their audiences with ignorant opinions? It is totally inappropriate while speaking at entertainment events.
Can you imagine a President making a State of the Union Address and going off about how ridiculous Sally Field looked in Smokey and the Bandit II?

When I saw your question, I thought, hmmm, I'd like to respond to this one. But after fully reading it, I will answer with two comments. First, I think that all actors/actresses need more real education before responding to political issues. Most do not have the real facts and speak out their As****! And in response to your second comment, I find it highly insulting. BUT Your partly right. Women should fight hard to protect our children and future generations. I surely would not want my daughters to be forced to cover their heads in public! I WOULD fight hard to make sure that my children are not victims of radical Islamic parties or subject to another 9-11! Furthermore, men backbite, gossip and snipe at each other all the time, they are just not as obvious. As far as the women in your office, fire them and hire new ones. Not all of us are like that.

She cannot help it with her mental incapability and her friendship with Hanoi Jane. What can you expect? Of course not all women are horrid, which brings Nancy Pelosi comes to mind.
If it were Condoleeza Rice I would think differently. You really would have to look at women on an individual basis, the same as you would men.

Sally Field was the Flying Nun. That should say it all when it comes to her credibility on political matters.

She may have been the Flying Nun and I may (did) have the hots for her at one time, but I will NEVER take political advice from the "HUNCHBACK" of Hollywood!

All Sally cares about is that people LIKE her, they really LIKE her...she's a nit. We would always be at war if women ran the world...giant wars of locking ourselves in the bathroom crying and hitting people with our purses...

its a volunteer army, unless they want to draft you.
you say there is no draft, well youre wrong, they just arent using it. it could come back as early as next week, literally.
if moms were running the military we'd be alot safer. war would probably be fazed out completely and those women would talk things over forever until they worked it out.
i could go for some matroitism
