Perimeter Formla

P = 2L + 2W

let

w = width

w + 11 = length

34 = perimeter

34 = 2(w + 11) + 2w

The distributive property on the right side of the equation.

34 = 2w + 22 + 2w

Collect like terms

34 = 4w + 22

Transpose 22

34 - 22 = 4w + 22 - 22

Collect like terms

12 = 4w

Divide both sides of the equation by 4

12 / 4 = 4w / 4

12 / 4 = w

3 = w

The values of the sides are: x + 11, x + 11, x and x. (x is the width and the + 11 is because the length has to be 11 more than the width). The sum of all the sides equals 34.
So from all of that information it's time to create an equation and use some algebra.
The simplest equation (and only one I think) is...
(x + 11) + (x + 11) + (x) + (x) = 34

So from that you will get 4x + 22 = 34
4x = 34 - 22
4x = 12
x = 3
____

From there put x back into the sides you had at the start and you will get your dimensions.

What shapes do you get once you split the sq. with a diagonal? 2 trangles. because of the fact that all of us be conscious of the sector is a sq., meaning each of the climate are equivalent (consequently, in case you be conscious of one component, you be conscious of each of the climate). So now you have a trangle with 2 factors equivalent to 60 ft. now you ought to use Pythagorean's theorem: A (squared) + B(squared) = C (squared) A and B are your 2 factors after which you basically remedy for C. stable success!

l= w+11
p is greater than or equal to 34
34 is less than or equal to w+w+w+11+w+11
12 is less than or equal to 4w
3 is less than or equal to w
the width can be 3 or more
