well why do alot of my fellow brothers and sisters like to act the way they portray black folk in mainstream media? Because mainstream media tends to focus on the hip-hop, gang subculture in the black communities which does exist. Sadly, many impressionable blacks think it's cool to portray what they see on television. Same goes for other races too.

does anyone else think its embarsing to see a brother sag his pants ? A bit. Only because I know that people judge people on their outer appearance and I know that, even if this person was a presidential scholar, he'll be written off as a thug. It's just our shallow society that judges the book by its cover, even when they know that's not the way to be.

do u think black on black crime is worser than the klan attacks? Black on black crime is a definite problem but, again, it's a subculture. There are millions of blacks who don't fit this mold. As for the Klan, that's a deeper issue entirely that would take much more time to discuss.

In the end, people should be free to be themselves. Media has demonized so many aspects of black culture that even wearing your hat to the side is taboo, while white skaters, emos, punks, goths etc. dress rebellious, too. Ironically, these kids are seen as just "rebels who will one day grow up and be productive members of society." Society doesn't draw that conclusion about black kids sadly.

It truly irritates me to see another black sag his pants, because for one he doesn't think he looks stupid when he does and if he falls down I want to be the first one to laugh at him.

And yes I do think a black-on-black crime is worst than another racial attack because first we complain about what they do to us when we are the first ones to do this to ourselves. Unless we can control what we do to ourselves it makes it seem ok for other people to do what they want to us.
