Zach, Cleveland could very well clinch the division, but they do it this series--even if they sweep. Their magic number is 9---not 6.

I will have to check out the pitching match ups, I know they were mentioned somewhat. I had to thumbs down the last guy and the guy who mentioned Jeter just because they are Yankees fans. Isn't that enough reason for a thumbs down?

You're right even if the Tribe could win all 3 our magic number would still be 3.

I don't have any predictions, but I'm nervous about this one that's for sure. May the best team win

Let's see:
Game:1
Rogers is 1-0 vs. Cleveland this year and has pitched well in his last two outings.

Byrd is 2-0 vs. Detroit this year but mainly due to great run support by the Indians in all three outings. Although Byrd is
2-0 vs. Detroit he was hit hard in both of them.

I think the Tigers can take game 1 if Rogers can go 5 to 6 innings only giving up 2 to 3 runs and the bull pen holds up the rest of the game. The Tigers win by 1.5 to 3 runs.

Game: 2
Verlander is 1-2 vs. Cleveland and has gotten shelled in all 3 losses. Cleveland simply has his number.

Westbrook is 0-1 vs. Detroit and pitched decent in both outings including a 8 inning gem.

The Indians win by 2.5 to 4 runs

Game: 3
Robertson is 0-1 vs. Cleveland but made adjustments in each outing he's faced the Indians reducing the number of runs each time. His last game against the Indians was a gem that the bull pen blew.

Sabathia is 2-1 vs. Detroit and has gone at least 7 innings in each outing giving up around 4 runs.

This game will come down to who's bullpen can keep it together with possible extra innings.

The Indians win a emotional one by 1.

I think the Tribe will beat the Tigers, Cleveland's Magic Number Right now is at 9 a sweep can make it go down to three, If Detroit Can't Keep Up the Indians will win the AL Central.

Expect to be sad.

Cleveland is playing at a high level right now. Sabathia is my pick for Cy Young (screw Beckett - C.C. has better numbers). Cleveland takes 2 of 3.

Ehh this is a tough one -- both teams have been playing well as of late. Both teams have awful closers in Jones and Borowski. Sure they get a lot of saves but their ERA's are thru the roof. Look for one team to take 2 out of 3 -- i really can't tell you which one b/c both teams are evenly matched -- both have their aces going (Sabathia and Verlander). Both have crappy closers. Here's the deciding factor -- clutch hitting. Expect close games in all of the games. I expect the Tigers to take game 2 where Verlander's pitching and Game 3 to the Tribe where C.C. is pitching. Game 1 is the toss-up. To me, whoever wins game 1 will win the series!

i did not see it, I settled for Atlanta-manhattan and Colts-Ravens. definite, I SETTLED for them whilst the Lions and Browns have been enjoying. It became 24-3 Browns interior the 1st quarter. in common terms the Browns ought to enable that bypass to waste. LOL a minimum of the Browns have ultimately found out that the tip zone isn't on the 50-backyard line. i think of this game could desire to be an on the spot classic! LMAO

Cleveland isn't going to roll over, but regardless of that, the Tigers must win to stay in the hunt for the wild card.

I think that the Tigers will drop 2.
