Do you think its worth the risk of getting your heart broken to able say you lived life to the fullest, took every opportunity and never regreted a thing...because even from your mistakes, you learned a valuable lesson...you grew as a person.
Do you think its worth it, just so you dont become one of those people who look back in their lives and wish they had taken more risks?

I believe in living life to the fullest, but i am struggling with the question, if, just in this case, its really worth it...?

I used to believe that it was worth it.
And because i did, i put my heart into everything i did.
I loved, in love and friendships with all my heart...
Recently i have lost much of what i believe i worked for,
lost much of what i believed,
had my heart broken more than i believed ever possible...
No i am re-evaluating if it is worth it or not...

Is what worth it? taking a chance? yes. Making a mistake? yes. falling in love? yes. Hurting someone you love even if its yourself? never. You need to live life like today is the last day your here. tell your loved ones you love them. make amends with your enemy's and have a good time doing what ever it is your doing, this ain't no dress rehearsal!

Absolutely. The worst thing I ever done was to avoid emotional pain having relationships that didn't pose enough risk. [m] was right, before deleting her answer, the pain of lost love is WAY better than not being loved.

Yes, you just described what living is about. You cannot get a hit in baseball without taking a few swings and missing a few times.

How can you not? Living any other way just guarantees a fairly emplty life...even if it's only for a while...live for what life offers you!

Your explanation is really good. I will add just this quote.
It is better to have loved and lost than never to have lost at all.

'No guts no glory." If you don't "put yourself out there," you're a coward and a waste of life. Wither away in your pathetic mediocrity and shallow self. Poster child for abortion.
