Maybe most people have low self-esteem. They'd be asking, "Why does this stranger want to take a picture with *me*? I'm no one special -- will he use it in a weird way?"

It's sad we feel this way, when you are just trying to catch a moment in time. I dunno -- if you can take "no" for an answer gracefully, maybe you should keep doing it. Because when people say "yes," you must feel pretty happy and everyone has a good time, right?

It would make me feel a little skiddish. Thoughts of stalking or kidnapping would come to mind. Maybe if you would explain why at that very moment you wanted a picture of someone, they would be a little more willing?!?! I don't know if it's strange to capture your happy moment with strangers, but maybe you chould ask if someone could take your picture. I think they would feel more at ease.

i think of that's adequate to develop an eyebrow, yet probable no longer adequate to be nervous approximately yet. there are a number of valid reasons for somebody to take pictures like that. You did no longer point out if the abode have been on the marketplace - nor did you point out if the loan is being refinanced or an fairness line has been utilized for. Banks decide to get an theory of the concern of the abode and whether that's "nicer" or larger than the acquaintances', or "no longer as advantageous" or smaller .. As somebody else suggested, perhaps this guy only enjoyed the abode - or the colour, or the style of the roof, or the abode windows, or the landscaping - and needed to apply it as connection with tutor his spouse or his contractor. perhaps he's thinking shifting on your community and he's taking an excellent kind of pictures of countless properties to tutor his kin what the section is like. perhaps he works for Sears or abode Depot and that they are making plans to grant unfastened siding or roofing or abode windows to a exhibit abode on your community, and yours is between those they are thinking for the grant. perhaps he's the front-guy for a landscaping or backyard care provider - same reason as above. i think of he became into only passing by ability of and enjoyed some thing he observed (or became into only fascinated - like "See? those shingles!"). the only worrisome reason i will think of of could be if somebody have been making plans a theft; even nevertheless, for a suitable guy in a BMW to be "casing the joint" with a digital camera, you will would desire to be living in incredibly a house with an excellent kind of valuables to scouse borrow. could he have been photographing the region of your risk-free practices cameras or your shelter canines? Do you shop funds and jewels in a secure someplace interior the abode? if that's the case, perhaps you're able to have some reason for complication - even nevertheless that's probable some harmless reason like those above.

huh.. that has happened to me! and i was very put-off -- it was weird! i didnt have any idea why some random guy was asking to take my picture with him. i did have the instinct to say no, because it creeped me out that some stranger wanted my picture. i thought it could turn into some kind of stalker situation even! too much tv, i dunno.
had i seen some kind of explanation like this before... well, that makes sense! maybe its not so strange after all.
without knowing your point of view, though... .it was strange. i was scared.

As insecure as people feel today about crime and terrorism, I think many would be wary of your motives, and may think you have sinister intent.
