but she can only go outsdie our local borough cos our own borough dnt have place for her.and say she can only go there when shes 25 or older. so the only place she can to is outsdie borough but council not prepared to pay for her travel there...i heard she can get full expences paid but needs someone to take her there...is there anything we can do expcet take her ourselves which would be difficult as we all work. she has down syndromes

You should first contact the school board and explain all of this to them. By denying her travel to a school they are denying her her rights. Maybe you could contact a bus company or some other type of public transportation to transport her for some type of fine that can be charged to a medical card or insurance of some sort - or if you are all working that you can pay. If nothing else works go to the government or any other human rights service near or in your town and present this case to them - they would have a hayday and your sister would, I guarantee, get transportation.

Hire someone to take her. Don't you have any family friends, neighbors, or anyone who could use a little money? Check with the college to see if there is anyone else in your borough that goes there.

these are good answers, but what is the reality of her going to college if she can't take care of herself and make good on the education? anyway, like the gay rabbi said, I agree with him wholeheartedly
