While I am a huge fan or Porsches (and spend alot of time driving them), between these cars I would opt for the Italian car. The F430 features an amazing chasis and wonderful balance... married to that note perfect Ferrari V8; it's a hard combination to beat.
Both of these cars are more GT than sports cars, but the character of the Ferrari seems to strike a more sporting balance to me. This, and that wonderfully balanced chasis would give it the edge for me.

I'd say Porsche 911 997 Turbo is way better Over all.
