There is no question that this Patriot team is no joke—they are scary. I am a San Diego Charger fan and just watched my team be dismantled by the score of 38-14. The Patriots outplayed my Chargers and won fair and square. For this reason, I do not hate the Patriots, but rather have respect for the hard work they put in every game.

I have to say that Randy Moss deserves a lot of credit. The Oakland Raiders were fools to give him up to their Tuck Rule enemy. A lot of people doubted the guy and compared him to Latrell Sprewell and Terrell Owens, saying that he would be bad chemistry and cause trouble. People keep saying that the reason Randy Moss did nothing the last two years was that he was unmotivated. Well, they were wrong. The reason he did nothing was look at the lousy quarterbacks (Kerry Collins and Aaron Brooks) and coaches (Art Shell and Norm Turner) that he had to work with. And yes, I am very embarrassed to say that Norm Turner is the Charger coach.

I am also correct that Tom Brady is capable of putting up numbers like Peyton Manning if he had the wide receivers. I predict that Tom Brady will finish with over 4,000 yards and a quarterback rating near 100.0 this season. And the way Randy Moss is playing, he might just finish with over 1,500 receiving yards.

With the money that the Patriots spent on Adalius Thomas, their defense is a real killer now. My boy Philip Rivers got sacked three times and picked off twice. With big Rodney (Harrison) coming back in maybe the fifth week, the defense will only get better for the Patriots.

It is bad enough if you cannot stop Randy Moss or compete with New England’s defense, but it gets even worse if you cannot stop Lawrence Maroney or Sammy Morris. These two guys can hurt you if you take your eyes off them and put too much emphasis on New England’s passing game. Corey Dillion used to kill the Colt defense all the time. A bad thing here is that Maroney is much younger than Dillion.

I am a Pats fan and I am sorry about the beating. I was truly looking forward to a good hard fought game. I am also sorry to say that i think that the Bolts should't have gotten rid of Shotenheimer. he is a good coach in the reg. season, but is way too conservative when it comes to the post season. That is when you have to play all out. I hate to say that the Bolts, again, looked flat on both sides of the ball. I think the reason that the Pats have been makeing people look silly is because now they went out and spent money to get really good players.
If the starters stay healthy then they stand to do this kind of work all year long. But Moss and Stallworth have been know to have great starts and then get injured.

The Bolts though need to get the coheasion that they had last year. That is what made them so great. The Bears and Pats distrupted Rivers so that he couldn't find his groove. And they just plain shut down LT. They knew that from last year. Stop LT and we can win. I think last week they had just enough to beat the Bears, which I think aren't that great to begin with.
Do not get me wrong I have a great respect for the Bolts they are a great team. They have everything they need to be a better team then last year, but like i say they need to become coheasive and play together otherwise it just won't happen for them.
Also they need a coach who can win in the post-season

I think some tough questions need to be asked. The commissioner said that he will confiscate all of the data that was illegally collected by Bill B. Will this be disclosed to the public? How was Bill B. using the information? How long has he been dealing in this illegal practice? It was also reported that Bill B. would mic up his defensive line to hear the audibles being called by the offense, then alert his team to employ the best play for the situation. Also Bill B. lost a draft pick and was fined half a million dollars as a punishment. Coincidentally, he was awarded a contract extension to 2013. The details of the extension were not made public but it is thought that he received a raise and most likely earning 35-48 million dollars through the life of the contract. Did his raise cover his half million dollar punishment? Will the loss of a draft pick matter that much in light of the talent on his team? The franchise owner of the Patriots said that his organization would not be the subject of an NFL investigation, but that he would launch his own internal investigation. If this is true, will it be an honest investigation? How is it possible for fans to make sure the investigation is honest. Will the results of the investigation be made public? How much of a competitive edge did he receive? Is the information he illegally gathered still able to help him out even though he has stopped his unscrupulous practices?

riverkid is semi correct, but 6 games into the season? The Pats played a contender in the Chargers and dismantled them. No, the Pats are for real, and they are a bona fide threat to take another super bowl.
Yeah, Turner is no head coach. I give him credit for being a QB coach and an Offensive coordinator, but beyond that, he has never been a success.

It amazes me how so many people are always trying to analyze a team based on their performance in the first 2 weeks. I say, give it another 6 weeks, then we'll begin to see who's really for real. No offense, but maybe your chargers are just not that good this year. Or maybe they just haven't gotten in sync. Either way, let's not prematurely vote the Patriots as the best team around.
