Many years ago, long before anyone had coined the word micromanagement, there were some published reports that Al had promised to be a policy type guy and stop calling plays from the stands. Don't think it lasted long.

When you always wanted to be a QB, but didn't have the stuff --- well what can we say?

Al Davis still thinks it is the 60's/70's/80's when they won a super bowl in each of those decades. He just doesn't realize that this is 3 generations away from those glory days, and he has lost touch with the younger players and what their abilities are. He is no longer the guru of talent that he used to be. He still thinks there are Jack Tatums, Lyle Alzados and John Matuzaks out there. Guys that couldn't make it with other teams because they were loose canons. Those days are gone, and he just doesn't get it.

dont believe everything you read al is the man and he does let them make some decisions but ultimatley they are his to make al is a football god when he dies you will see all the people who have respect for al davis and it will probably suprise you how many there are LONG LIVE AL DAVIS AND LONG LIVE THE OAKLAND RAIDERS hatred makes us stronger.....you can like us or you can hate us but you cant ignor us RAIDER NATION the real nation the only nation
