I dont think it's too soon to start with the potty.Just make sure you dont force your baby talk to her and make it fun.
Once you establish it early she wont pooh pooh until she sits on her potty. My son is 9 months and I have trained him so well that if you are carrying him and he want to go he starts strugging to come down and if you know him well you see he starts crawling towards the bathroom and making faces the moment you sit him down on the potty he starts doing his thing. But he hardly does it in his diaper.I think this is good I did same with my daughter and she was completely potty trained at age 3. Not even wetting the bed at nite.So I say you ride on mum

boo boo pot? How embarassing it will be for her some day if you teach her that is a restroom and she asks her preschool teacher to use the boo boo pot! Might want to teach her 'potty' now.
It is generally better to wait until they can walk because if you teach her now, you may not always be right there to take her and she may just give up and go back to the diaper.
The most important thing until she can walk is to make sure she gets a new diaper as soon as one is wet, always telling her "You pee-peed, good job!" and so on.

An 8 month old is a little young as she does not understand the feelings of when she has to go. My son is 2.5 years old and still not potty trained.

As long as the baby is able to sit up , it can use the bath room . Its a very good idea to toilet train the child as soon as possible.

It is highly unusual for a child to be "potty trained" before age 2.
By this, I mean,
For the child to recognize the "feeling" far enough ahead to either inform you, or to get themself all the way to the toilet before wetting. This requires 4 skills your baby has yet to develop: verbal skills -- walking skills -- advance warning sensation -- and muscle control.
Before the child can do all this on his own, we call it "Mommy Training"

As long as the baby can walk I suppose it is okay. I didn't start mine potty training until she was 15 months.

Boo boo pot? Oh, dear - suggest that you speak to your children with words they will be able to use growing up - not embarrasing them. "Toilet" is not a direty word
