it depends on the type of question that i've answered. if it's something on a personal level - for example, if someone wanted advice on depression or an illness, i usually choose to 'add a comment' (u get the option if u have won the points), and i leave a 'thank u for the points' and tell them to keep in touch if they need any further hep / advice. if it's just something trivial like 'what time is it where u are?', then i just ignore it.

If Im choosing one, I'll sometimes write a little thankyou in answers...

I dont really like getting emails off people when they chose me though, just cos I find it a little unecessary and more often than not, its someone telling you how hard their life is and what an insipration your reply was... lol...I only ever write something logical, not really anything requiring an oscar acceptance email...

I think emailing is a bit over the top - I usually leave a "comment" - it's a courtesy and kinda rounds things off nicely.

I write a response in the comment section also. That way they can see it when they check back. I get alot of email, and I don't check it everyday, so that seems the best way to me.

I like to E-mail a thankyou,I feel it makes the whole concept of QnA more personal, plus it opens up the opportunity for meeting and making new friends in this rat-race,flashing about,non-caring or respectful society that is developing.

I always email to say thanks; If the answerer allows it of course. I have kept in contact with some nice people on here by doing it.

Have you lot been sending thankyou emails??????

I never even thought about doing it, i'm obviously a selfish and thoughtless person
I saw it as WE doing them a favour so they say thank you to us, are we then supposed to say thank you for saying thank you?

Damn, i'm going to feel really bad all day now.lol
