There are no full-scale artificial brains... yet. Just because something isn't possible now doesn't mean that it will be impossible in the future. There are implants that help in brain function, and there are some forms of "artificial intelligence", but at this point they don't compare to the human brain, which is vastly more powerful by comparison. One of the problems of building an artificial brain is that we don't know enough about how the real ones work yet. Therefore, if you don't know how something works, its usually impossible to replicate it.

No - there are no artificial brains. How could you "transplant the mind" from a biological brain into an artificial one?
That said, there *are* implants which replace certain neurological functions in diseased individuals:
An implanted electrode on the Vagus Nerve in the neck can be manually activated by epileptics when they feel a seizure coming on, and it can ameliorate the symptoms.
There are implants for the retina that have been developed to partially replace lost vision in severely blind patients.
Similar technology for implantation into the cochlea to treat deafness is also in the pipeline.

Well, the mind is unique because it controls the entire body, what we think and how we think. Nothing can substitute such a beautiful and useful organ. Artificial hearts were invented by Victor Chang, a cardiovascular surgeon working at St Vincents Hospital. Unfortunately he was murdered by two robbers demanding 2 million dollars.

yes there is! Check out New Scientist magazine or their website, type in artificial brain and it should come up with what your looking for. It has been used in humans, and they used silicon or something.

No, there is no artificial brain, as yet.
But I suggest you to read "The Bicentennial Man" by Issac Asimov (not the movie please). It is a rather philosophical work and explores what constitute a human being and the definition of "life".
