De-evolution of man... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vntf...

I think de-evolution of man is really happening... And we don't do anything about it, maybe because people just don't see it!

YouTube came back with - "The url contained a malformed video id."

But anyway, de-evolution would have to happen over a long, long time, just like evolution. We really don't have any reason to think that technical "de-evolution" is happening, but I understand your question.

Is "social de-evolution" going on? Probably, in certain places, certain societies, depending on your definitions of course. I'm not pessimistic. It's always been two steps forward, one step back. We defeat the Nazis and the Commies, and here come the Muzzies! Sigh. Another fire to put out.

The empirical evidence indicates that people are getting smarter (as measured by IQ tests). However the people who made this video might be a product of devolution.
"Heritability isn't a very useful number for thinking about the direct impact of genes on IQ," says Dickens. "Changes in environment can produce changes in IQ that are several times as large when both are measured relative to their variation in the population."

I think that people are poor now because some of them are too lazy to work and educate themselves and others just can't find jobs.
