Are you writing or are you writhting ????
Main Character or main carecter ????
Don't you mean which one to choose Or a Witch?
A Witch is someone who practices witchcraft to help better the world and mankind. A witch is NOT someone who is ugly, worships the devil, or hurts people. Witch is a name given to someone who works with magical powers and natural substances and uses them to help and heal. Magic can be used for both good and evil, but is generally used solely for the good.
Maybe you need to use a "spell check" however with that you need to have and idea of the word
Love & Blessings

When you say "magical" creature, do you mean "mythical" creature? Because any creature can be "magical", the choices are virtually endless; now there's a limited number or "mythical" creatures like a Unicorn, Elf, Fairy, Gnome, Dragon, etc.
If you're looking for a "magical" creature for a children's book, I'd go with something along the lines of turtles, bears, rabbits, mice, owls. The seem to be the staples when it comes to that kind of thing.

why don't you make it a one-celled organism like an amoeba or something there are a lot of things you could do with that...
or if that doesn't fit, how about a boa constrictor that is the only chance to save the world?
or a cat of course they are all magical, especially my black ones: Voodoo, Jinx, Wraith, Ouija, Wyrd, and the magical mystical mighty Hexxx, king of all cats...
i would have thought you'd misSpell riting too, it's your Rite to Spell Witchever way- all the ghouls care about is the guise, after all...
sorry i got carried away i hope i didn't rune this 4 u- it will haunt me the rest of my daze!!! (heh heh heh heh cackle cackle cough)

I hope you have one heck of a editor for all the spelling flaws you will have. I was wondering what you mean by {witch} too........
I think you need some writing basic grammar classes before pursuing a book.

I certainly wouldn't spend money on a book when the author doesn't have basic grammar and spelling skills.

I'm sure that spelling doesn't matter in a children's book. Write the story about a basalisk, or a singing trout.
