what is most irritating to you about your job? what is your job there? (front desk, bell desk, housekeeping?)

Yes i work overnight front desk. I am actually at work right now. Its when i do my best answering. Well at least my most answering. The thing that is most irritating is the laundry. But on overnights there isn't as much laundry as days. All in all its not a bad job.

I used to work in a hotel for 5 yrs. at reception desk. The job was half day shifts, half night shifts.
The most irritating thing was to deal with lots of drunk guests at midnight (there was a restaurant inside). Or sometimes the hall boys would get drunk themselves and you would have to keep an eye on the hall worrying about the security.
Early check-ins/outs were irritating also (like at 5 am or 6 am). Or group tourist check-outs were pretty noisy.
Also, lots of hookers were calling guests at night offering their services (we had direct lines in the rooms). And then guests would call you and complain about annying calls.
It was fun, i would say. And after those night shifts, you'd feel so miserable and would need a whole day of sleep to recover. My inner clock was ruined for long after that.
Thank God, I currently have totally different job.

I work part time at a motel, I'm surprised at how clean people are in general, that's a good thing. The worst thing is I don't much like one of the other housekeepers. She annoys the hell out of me, luckily it's rare that we work together.

i was a front desk clerk for the Marriott and i loved the job, but the only thing i could not stand is how the guests wanted you to kiss their butts. no matter what you did, they were never pleased. at least some of them where like that.

Laundry room. The most irritating thing to me is that we only have 3 large machines so when people take 4 or more towels at the pool "in case we need them" they have to return here and be washed, dried and folded again. It really backs up my work.
