It's a pretty generic question... two companies with fairly long histories that have produced quite a few street cars as well as racing cars, and which is the better?
Putting aside the specifics of the cars themselves, the heart of each company has slightly different philosophies which have shaped their designs. Enzo Ferrari often commented that he sold street cars in order to pay the bills to keep racing, while Porsche has generally gone racing as a means to further develop and hone the technologies used on street cars. Both companies have been very successful in both the racing and production car realms, but the approach difference has continued to define differences in the cars.
As such, Porsches tend to put a higher emphisis on reliability and usability than Ferrari, though Ferrari tends to push the performance envelop (though with more compromise). Both cars feature cutting edge technology and excellent performance.
Ferrari's are generally more expensive, and as such rarer and have more "star power." Porsches are more usable on the street, and often more than capable than matching the Ferrari on the track. Which one is better will depend on which characteristics you most prize.

well I own a 2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello HGTC bought a Secondhand about 1 month ago and honetly its one of the most Reliable Ferrari because its Front Engined and I can blow a 430 or a Gallardo with my car which now a days is almost the same price (Second hand though Because the Production of 575M's has been over since 2005) as of the 430 and the Gallardo.
But Still a Porsche is More reliable well i know My upcoming GT2 Would be as Reliable as a Dog to its Owner and honestly My Ferrari 575M Maranello HGTC use to Miss 3rd Gear Before even in Auto mode but now I've got it Fixed its Superb!.
So they are both Excelent Supercars.

A Ferrari is no doubt a fabulous sports car.
But is the Porsche better? If so, not by far!
Porsche owners applaud all the models, especially the Boxsters.
However, Ferraris are favorites of Billionaires and Rock Stars!
For answering this question, your prize is to pick the one you think has the most appeal,
Which would I choose? Oops didn't I tell you? We're both in a dream, and none of this is real !!

Every so often a Ferrari owner will get into his car, turn the key and nothing will happen. It won't start. So he'll hop in the Bentley to go to work. Porsche owners don't usually have that problem.
A Ferrari isn't a sports car. It's a supercar. It's designed to go stupid fast and little else. Reliable thay are not. Don't get me wrong, they're awesome as hell, but they tend to break.
Porsches tend to be slightly slower, but they are also German, makers of the world's finest autos, and the Ferrari is Italian..... makers of some of the least reliable autos.

I have owned and currently own both Porsches and Ferraris. Honestly, Ferrari is a beautiful car, fast and sounds amazing, but over priced. I have had a lot more fun, and more people are drawn to Porsches as I have seen over the years. I have to say Porsche hands down. They are just as fast, sexy, and have more character.

i personally like the look of a Porsche it has a sexier cool look to it. As for a Ferrari they look tough and go heapz fast. The problem with a Ferrari is that its way overpriced!
