My preseason TE rankings had B Watson at 9th (I had him at 5th on my personal rankings). He has ability to get downfield and with so many weapons in NE he faces inferior coverage. So the answer is yes in a heartbeat.

Well seeing as the success that NE has had, especially with the recent win over San Diego, picking up Benjamin Watson would be a good idea because a good team like the Patriots like to get all of their available options and throw to them to make them threats, making Benjamin Watson likely to bring in lots of fantasy points.

eric's johnson seemed like a good sleeper pick this year, but new orleans obviously sucks and ej just isn't getting the ball enough. he's not a big play guy...he works when he's getting fed 6, 8 times a game or more. take watson is he's there. can't believe he is. he'll score. you migth want to see if idiot has dropped greg olsen. don't get him yet, but flag zach miller from OAK to keep an eye for later.

There are many good nameless options around, like Owen Daniels (HOU), Jeff King (CAR), and especially Leonard Pope (ARZ). If you don't have one of the top 5 picks, these guys are all interchangeable.
Watson will always get 2-3 catches, and maybe 6 TDs.
