Y&R seems to be the most popular daytime soap. I'm going to start watching it tomorrow. What must I know???

Katherine Chancellor is currently the longest running character. Her daughter is Jill Abbot
Victor Newman pretty much owns the town. Currently married to Nikki, two kids, Nick and Victoria.
Jack Abbott is the son of John Abbott (deceased). He is married to Sharon.
This soap pretty much revolves around those three families.
There is so much history, but it is easy to start watching, then if you have background questions, feel free to email me with them, I have been watching this show for 30 years! (I used to come home at lunch in high school, that was what was on tv, and I got hooked!)

You should google Y&R and look up all the info there is just so much stuff to tell and so little space. There are a lot of good fan sites out there. Enjoy hunting!

there is so much to say, i don't know where to begin. all of the characters are doing something different, yet similar. not only that the Bold and the Beautiful goes with that one too.
i watch both about 3 times a week, it's very easily to keep up with. any questions, ask me.

Well, it was boring for a couple days but its beginning to pick up again! There are a bunch of very dramatic things that are going to be coming up on the show. And yes, this show is a must to watch. I'm only 17 and have been watching the show for about 3 years already! Usually people my age aren't interested in soaps but I am because its just so interesting with all the crazy twisted stuff that goes on in it. This is the best show on earth and you won't regret watching it!

Down the line, old feelings die hard and Nick & Sharon will reunite.
After Summer takes ill, the truth will come out that Jack is Summer's father!
Phylis is forced to reveal what really happened with Summer's paternity test - and Jack is not happy! (What's listed here is all we know as of it. How or why Phyllis will have to 'explain' is still up in the air. On one hand, she may have known about the 'results." Were they fixed? Or it could be to mean that she'll have to explain why she never looked at the results and took Nick's word for it, which would surely cause Jack to be angry. Again, this is all we know as of yet.)
Watch for Heather to be a big part in revealing something from Adrian's past!
