You can't drink yourself sober. You can only make yourself more drunk. Some people get really drunk and think that they are indestructable or are capable of doing anything. They may forget how much they've had to drink and insist that they are fine or even sober.
Regardless of what they say, if you drink alcohol, the level of alcohol in their blood will go up. If you drink more alcohol, the amount of alcohol in your blood will INCREASE. The only thing that will sober you up is time.. and certainally NOT more alcohol.

Yes, you can drink yourself sober.
One time in Vegas I was on a crap table from like 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 A.M. the next morning.
I drank CONTINUOUSLY the entire time, and when morning rolled around I was stone cold sober.

Sober means not intoxicated or drunk, therefore both statements are false. unless by the second one you meant that you get so drunk you are able to convince yourself that you're "sober", then I go with that one.
just so you know, i spent waaayyyy too ******* long thinking this one over. hahaha...

to drunk to know better unless you are puking and drinking and puking and drinking etc.. then eventually you feel sober
(Happened last summer when I finished off a whole bottle of Malibu Rum by myself.)
