It all comes down to managers and the Yankees can't compete with the Mets and Mickey Rivers...uhh...I mean Willie Randolph.

It's just how the way the game is. However, I think the Yankees have a great team, as they always have had for the past decade. The Mets are on the rising side of a better team in the next few years.
To have a good team overall like the Yankees have had, you should have a consistent lineup and pitching rotation with just minor call-ups or trades. Nothing more.
You will realize that the Tigers have stuck to that theory for the past few years and their lineup is so consistent as it has been a few years ago. Same players. Same kind of pitching. Same kind of theory.
With very few changes in a team, the players will most likely have built the chemistry foundation of the team and winning becomes their passion - game after game.
I will tell you right now that teams like the Tigers and Mets are going to have more wining seasons (.550 or more) because they believe in their players.

Mets don't look so amazing losing 7 straight to the struggling Phillies. Yankees have taken 6 of 7 from the Red Sux the "best team in baseball". Yankees have a better record and would be in 1st place in any division in the National League. I would LOVE to see another subway world series because everyone would see how the Mets would only win in the LITTLE LEAGUE World Series and thats only if they had their rotation set up right.

And how did those Mutts do this weekend? Huh?
It's funny you ask that, considering the Yankees have a better record than the Mets. Your team is in first only because they play in the weak National League, the Mutts wouldn't even get a SNIFF of the playoffs if they were in the A.L.
I forgot, the Yankees won two out of three against the team with the best record in baseball, and won five of their last six against Boston.
Maybe you can help me out here, but didn't the Mutts lose SEVEN in a row to the Phillies over the past couple of weeks? WHEW! That's bad, I mean that's really, REALLY bad.

I was expecting to see allot of these questions. The better the Yanks do, the more some short bus riders say they stink. In case you didn't know, (and you obviously don't) winning is a good thing. It's why you play. If you think losing is the object, then maybe we should get together and play poker some time.
