It is easy to learn and it takes some time to master. The important thing is to remember that you could kill someone if you operate it carelessly. You can also kill yourself too. I have seen guys drive them off of loading docks, or tip them over. I have also seen them hit electrical lines and fire supression systems.
You can never be too careful.

Driving them is easy. Its learning not to drop or destroy the things that you are picking up or letting down
