If you plan on making some money and keeping it a constant side-business, you're going to want to get a state tax ID. Report your earnings truthfully to the IRS now and avoid painful audits later. I'd also recommend keeping a ledger of some sorts to document how much you made at what show, etc...

If it's run as a kind of rummage sale, no. If you're reselling brand new items you might need one. Usually a mobile sellers permit covers that. They're usually pretty cheap--Wisconsin charges a one time fee of $10, Pennsylvania is $15. They renew automatically for free.

If you're only doing one or two a year, you probably don't need one at all as it would be a hobby and a sporatic one at that.

Some fleas require you to buy a 'day license' for the taxes you should be collecting.

generally if what you are selling is new you are required to have a business license, however if you are selling your own possessions or those collected as used items it is doubtful that you will be required to get a license.
