greet your new neighbor??

if it were a female neighbor i would bring over a small basket of bath and body works and a $20 dollar gift certificate and tell her, welcome to the neighborhood. i am one of your new neighbors. nice to meet, you. maybe we could hang out @ the mall and go shopping together, and do lunch.
if it were a male neighbor, i would bring over a basket of
cheer, maybe a bottle of liquor. then i would say since you are my new neighbor i wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood. you may not drink or you may not have a special occassion to use this, but when the new year comes around take a dab or sip of it and welcome in the new year a fresh start and may the year and all the years to follow be a lovely one for you.
if the neighbors were a family i would send them a personal handwritten invitation. i would ask them to join me as their new neighbor and i woudl cook for them as a welcome dinner to the neighborhood. i would say nice to meet you, and my house is your house. you are welcome here any time and there will always be warmth and nice feelings generated when you are here because i welcome you and your family to the neighborhood.
nothing bad about making friends with neighbors. who knows, they could turn out to be special best friends..... lol

OMG, my new neighbor.... Wow, there's a story... He is a complete @ss! So I don't greet him in the nicest way! hehe..
Now if he was close to my age and a cutie, then that would be a whole different story. =)

I live next to a retirement complex......If I greeted them the way I usually greet single men....they would have heart attacks......

It's nice to meet you too. I would probably hug my new neighbor. I like to hug. Unless, of course, he *or she* seems totally against it. Then I'd probably just shakes their hand.

Go over to say hi and introduce myself... ask if they needed any help getting settled in -- and if they looked like your avatar, I'd probably be going over to borrow sugar alot ... lol

Well if he looks any thing like that picture i would come to u with some cupcakes and only a bow tie around my neck. I really like that picture.

I'd just take a pie over, introduce myself, and let them know that if they needed anything at all--to let me know.
