After a vasectomy, is it normal for my nuts to feel as though I have a hernia? theyr stil sensitiv 2 wks later

First of all, don’t take ANY advice from anyone whom has never had a vasectomy, or from any cartoon on television. A vasectomy is probably the only medical procedure that has “urban legends” associated with it. People treat vasectomies like they are some kind of “voodoo curse”. The truth is a vasectomy is not that big a deal. Odds are you are just thinking about it too much.

If you got one of those “open ended” vasectomy, the situation is pretty normal for the first few weeks. If you had one done “old school” then such pain is not very common. You could have an infection, or you may have just got into too big a hurry to start physical activity afterward. Just give the doctors office a call. I doubt the situation is serious. Don’t worry, nobody has ever lost their testicles over a vasectomy. You will be just fine.

I got mine 20 years ago. I had no complications.

I'm getting mine done at the end of next month. Nobody ever told me anything about pain after the fact. What type of vasectomy procedure did you get done?
