John Brown was captured at Harper's Ferry by United States troops led by (then) colonel Robert E. Lee.

John Brown, who was a slave, began a riot in Harper's ferry(can't spell if my life depended on it). Robbed the weaponry and called as many slaves as possible to help. at that time, he said he had 300 men but only had 20.
