brown, with some red in it. Think root beer.

I have always taken that as having a reddish color like the soda it is named after.

BTW: root beer and sarsaparilla are not the same (sasparilla and birch beer are types of rootbeers but not the types generally used in rootbeer beverages and are thus labled by their particular root).

Sasparilla is basically root beer, so it would be dark brown.

its a root beer color ... kind of a blackish brown.. thats why its hard to see what color it is
