If you were in a position to hire one kid, and you had two applicants. Both had basically the same qualifications. One wore saggy/baggy pants to the interview, and the other wore more traditional jeans and a collared shirt. Which one would you hire???

I would probably higher the one who dressed nice, because the way you dress does have a reflection on your personality.

People who wear baggy pants are usually rebellious for example.

I think you should put pants on her in public as well, although there are occasions when it is ok to dress your child in only a diaper if it's really hot out, at the beach etc. but if you don't ever make her wear pants then she might get too used to it and then when she has to she may get stuck and refuse because she has never had to before. keep in mind that there will be times you will want her to wear clothes at a wedding at school and just let her know when it is ok not to wear pants and when she has to wear clothes then you should be fine.

The one more qualified who I could talk to and would get along well with the team. I work in an arts field so baggy pants are ok.

Baggy pants are in the way. That's a person who doesn't understand what it takes to keep a job, and I wouldn't have time to help him learn something so basic.

All else being equal, I would hire the one who showed me the respect to dress up a little for the interview. If a third, otherwise equal candidate showed up wearing khakies, a button-down shirt, and a tie.. I'd pick him.

honestly will you talk to someone that is dressed that way...no...people like that have no credibility. Thus, you can dress like that outside but at the job you have to dress properly. Remember first impression is the most significant. Any wyas if the person was professional she or he would know not to go like that to interview or jib. However, if the person is good just emphasize that there are attire rules.
