There was a period of time in my life where I had recurring occurrences in my dreams. Although they were not the same dream, the conditions of the dreams would hauntingly repeat.

In the first stage in the dream, I would either be in a dark place, or in an eerie predicament (or both) where the feeling (or at times just the sound) of something threatening was approaching me.

As I felt the aura of this unknown ominous threat approaching, Its avoidance became more and more inevitable, for it now seemed to surrounded and enveloped the entire area!
The only thing I knew was that I HAD TO get away.

I’d then wake up…. in the same exact place and position as I was just in, in the dream…. with a brief sense of, cool relief ….Whheeeewhhhh! …Thank God I’m awake, and it’s gone I thought .That was scary!….What the heck was it?….as I look around for a few seconds..... BAM!, It’s back! I don't see it, I just know it's there, and I’m trapped ...only find the situation continuing, but I am FULLY PARALYZED!..EVERYTHING!!!

I then continue to try and try and try and move….. to forcefully struggle to free myself from this magnetic force, to only be frozen solid from head to toe….. I then try and yell for help, but I can not……. I’m being held down… all around ….and my lips….my throat…..my voice…… can not produce a sound!

As I just keep trying to no avail, the force and pressure just keeps welling up and builds inside. Continuing, harder and harder …only to get nowhere, with the now sounds of rushing footsteps which approach from behind. As they get louder, quicken pace and are virtually atop my being; simultaneously my head and shoulders are overcome with a growing, buzz feeling….an ever increasing shock ….a surge of electricity! ….the pressure builds… I suddenly explode through… break it out….. and yell awake….. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

I’m Awake!! …for real!?!!
Finally free from the bondage! …..Sweaty and exhausted, I plop to the pillow and recuperate….wondering……….

I've had so many. Most of my dreams are scary. I dreamt my family became devil worshipers once, and I still remember the dream about the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood that ate my grandma in a childhood nightmare.

I dreamed of a post apocalyptic world, not far in the future. It was a land of rubble, devastation, and emptiness. Very few people were still alive and there were NO signs of civilization surviving the nuclear doomsday. The sad thing was that the people still alive actually seemed numb to what had happened, as if it were not at all unusual.

Well when I was really little I had a nightmare about this monster made of worms attacking me. Though it doesn't scare me now, I still remember it vividly....so that must have been damn scary at the time if I remember it 25 yrs later!

I dreamed my aunt had locked me and my sister inside an insane asylum, and all the inmates were crawling up the walls and ceilings like spiders. They also didn't have bones in their necks, so they turned their heads around in crazy directions and hissed!

I was so scared I needed sleeping pills for a whole week afterward!!

I dreamed my son, who was 2 in the dream (he's adult now) accidentally walked off a cliff and disappeared. It scared the liver out of me--I didn't sleep for two nights after.
