Hongkong IS part of China, it was leased to the Brits and now the lease is up so is Taiwan. Tibet is also part of China, if I remember correctly at the time, India was courting Tibet and Pakistan was courting China. Having a nuclear power so close to her doorstep made China nervous. Just like Cuba and the USA now the cubans can only point their cigars at the USA. As for Africa, she has been raped and plundered by literally every country in this world except China due to the fact that she was also exploited at the same time. Tell me frankly now whether any other country have done anything to aleviate the suffering of the africans and the starvation of their children.
Now, I know for a fact that the Chinese have given aid to some of the African nations and got promissory notes in return which was useless and written off. Do you think the Chinese don't know that they will never get their money back? There are many ways to show compassion without embarrassing the other party.

There is no Chinese take over of Arica. In some african countries they have got considerable influence. The increasing economic influence of Chinese in African market should be a concern for the West.Cheap Chinese goods and products have taken over the African markets throwing out many established US and western brands. This may in turn will affect the Western Economy adveresly in the long run.Defnitely Chinese interest in far away Africa is not territorial interest but commercial interest. Many people who ask such questions does not know that Africa is very very far away from China.Tibet is near to China,it had to cross the border only to annex it!

The Chinese are so clever, what a strategically bold move, it's brilliant....get the Western economies reliant on cheap labour provided by themselves and then withdraw that labour and those cheap goods and see what happens!

But the Western economies once denied access to cheaply produced goods from China, could conceivably achieve similar results utilising cheap African labour, minerals and space.

The Chinese, noticing the contempt that Africa and Africans are treated with, by the West, offer a soothing hand and incidentally gain control of the last remaining source of cheap labour, and their only viable rivals.

So no I don't think we can stop them, there's too much at stake.

Well--we could try treating black people--in America and in Africa--like human beings. That might help. Treating them like animals for the past 500 years hasn't worked too well. Maybe the Chinese noticed that?

Well.. for one thing Hong Kong is part of China.

Maybe we should just give Africa to them. They managed to stop their population growth.. that is EXACTLY what Africa needs at this point.
