If there was a minor crime(not a felony or misdeamenor of course) and you had 2 options for punishment: one was to wear sandals without socks for a whole week around major places in town this would be in order for it to never show up on your record as if it never happened. The second option would be not to take the sandal punishment thus having appear on your permanent record. Would you commit this minor crime on purpose just to take the sandal punishment?

What's wrong with wearing sandals without socks, how could that even be considered a punishment? Almost everyone I know, male and female, wears sandals without socks regularly by choice.
Many people consider it a fashion faux-pass to wear sandals *with* socks, but even that wouldn't be considered a 'punishment' by most folks, just looks a bit off.

What do these sandals look like. You can get some pretty cute ones. If I get to choose the shoes it would be sandal punishment.
I would never commit a crime on purpose!
