When I was reading "The Stand" by Steven King and the devil changed from crow to Randall Flagg and his heels hit the pavement as he ran toward the man, I had to get up and go outside to be in the sunlight. Friday the 13th (part one) scared me so bad, I cannot watch it alone. I just saw the remake of The Omen and even though I saw all the originals, I still got scared with the dog in the coffin. The vampire boy popping out of the coffin in Salem's Lot scared the bejesus out of me when I was little. What parts of what movies scaaarred you baaaaaadd.?

The most frightened I'd ever been from a movie or book was when I was about 8 and Pet Semetary just came out on video. I watched it by myself at night. When the scenes with the sister Zelda came on, I was extremely terrified. She still gives me the heebie jeebies. Pictured below.

I remember the run-up to the movie Independence Day. I was nine when this was going on, and I seriously thought that all the stuff happening in that movie was going to happen. I was really scared. Like, I remember watching this special about the movie, and it finished with some guy saying "the invasion has begun" which at that point, I walked outside and looked at the stars. I was so freaked out because I looked at them, and when one seemed to be getting bigger, I thought that was the aliens coming!

Ironically, Independence Day is one of my all-time favorite movies.

i might would desire to assert Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. he's a distinctly deep character on appropriate of being a hilarious undesirable-***. he's likewise in charge for one in all my well-liked Buffy moments of all time while he's asked to describe why he's on the summer time's homestead via Buffy in 5 words or much less and he says, "Out for a walk... *****." whether he's evil, heroic, or purely tied to a chair at Giles' homestead he manages to be a appropriate character. My well-liked vampire movies or t.v. shows are probable Buffy and The lost Boys by using fact they be in a position to replace the vampire myths on an identical time as nevertheless respecting the paintings that has come beforehand. that is greater advantageous than would desire to be pronounced for a definite sparkly vampire sequence.

Stephen King is a good one for nightmares. I was only 6 when I saw the Stephen King movie "It" - I was scared of clowns for about 8 years. Man I love his movies and books.

I don't know what movie it was, but it had something to do with the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust. I had nightmares about that for over a decade. Your imagination is your worst enemy! Picture your parents literally melting away in front of your eyes. Yeah, and guess what I'll probably dream of tonight!

The only movie that truly scares me is The Exorcist. My family is very, very Catholic, and although I don't share their beliefs, I ifrst saw this when I was six and thought I was going to die. I still have to sleep with the lights on after watching that movie, and if my boyfriend's not home, I won't even sleep!

The first time I read THE SHINNING, I was in the hospital. The book was so scary, I was afraid something was going to crawl out of the book.
I'm sure it had to do with the meds that I was receiving, also.
