You do NOT need a passport to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands or any other U.S. territory or possession. All you need is your photo I.D. See website below to confirm this info. Have a great trip!

So far all of the answers are good - you do not need a passport to travel to the US VI. It would be a good idea to get one though. The British VI is a popular "other" destination while visiting. You will need a passport to go there.

If you are from the US then you do not need a passport to travel to one of its territories, state issued ID is enough. If you are traveling from another country then a passport is required.

US citizens do not need a passport to travel to the VI from the US.

you need the same ID that you would use to travel between Boston and San Fransisco.. the US VI is a US Territory and here's the link to prove it

Yes one or the other. HOWEVER.. take my advice and STAY away. This place is full of Corruption, Racism and descrimination. Perfect example: If you fly down here, and take the taxi, if your black the taxi will be a certain price....if your white, it will be double that price. The whole island is like that.
