So can we finally dispell the thought that the Pats success over the years has somehow been marred by the "Bellicheat" scandal? After all they walloped one of the supposed best teams in football. The D made the chargers offense look lackluster at best. And Brady and the whole offense had a spectacular game. Just wondering

As much as I hate the Pats, I agree... looks like they are the dynasty of the early 2000's

As you perfectly stated, "supposed" best teams. I am not trying to say the Chargers are not a good team, but everyone thought the Saints were going to be an explosive offense, top 3 scorers at least. Two weeks in, they've gotten destroyed by the Colts and the lowly Bucs.

I say give it a couple of weeks to see how well the Patriots continue to carry on. I doubt that the cheating was the sole reason for New England's success, but it certainly didn't hurt any.

Probably the games where it made the biggest difference (if it happened those games) would be the Colts. Especially now that there are also claims the Pats might have been surfing the radio waves to steal offensive audibles and send in calls to the defensive line.

He is the Pete Rose of football. It's too bad that he made people think that the Pats weren't good enough to win all those games. I hate the Pats and am a Jets fan (God help me), but know the Pats are that damn good.

I couldn't agree more. Fox sports had the Chargers ranked #1, and the Colts #2, leaving the lowly Patriots at #3. I guess they might have to look at that again. OBVIOUSLY, this supposed "cheating" was not something that was being used in the games, and obviously didn't have anything to do with the Patriots success.

That is why Bellichek was stupid to even try that snooping. Every time the Pats win that same argument will come up.

It is like Sammy Sosa and that corked bat incident - if you get caught once then people will wonder always.

YES!! Eloquently put. This team is charged with winners without Belligate marring their success.

Tom Brady for President.

Well there is no way they cheated this game, because if they would have taped the last game against each other it would be pointless. And the time before that was back when Brees was their QB.
