can someone show or tell me how to do this? x^2-x-12/4-x

Do what exactly?

By the time you are in precalculus you should be able to:

1) State the question clearly. This could involve simplfying an expression or solving an equation or maybe graphing it. You need to finish stating the question.

2) Use proper mathematical punctuation. In this case you need to use parentheses.

There are a lot of people who would like to help you when you make the question clear.
