Unless your mouse has a switch on it that mine doesn't, the mouse can not be shut off.
I suppose, if you wanted to, you could pull the batteries out or unplug it from the computer.
But I honestly see no reason why you would want it off, it don't hunt nuttin' to leave it on.

I would ask you - why would you leave it on? Turn it over. Is there nothing to indicate an on/off? If not, I suggest you go to the manufacturer's website and look for help and support. It may be that it has a built-in timer for inactivity, but you will have to determine that from the mfr. unless it came with a User's Guide (either paper form or on disk).

would save battery's. i know a buddy who never turns his off and it has no problems, i never turn mine off (it auto turns off after a few minutes of use) alot of wireless mice tend to have the auto shut off feature. if its going to be a problem where u have to open it up and pull out a battery then to just leave it there i would suggest just leaving it "on" its more of a hassle to take out the battery then to keep it in.

this is more to preference. just like some people say it is unnecessary to turn off your puter, except to restart. most techies i know set their systems to go to sleep or off after 2 hours inactivity.
you do this in the control panel at the power settings. so you let your system shut itself down. of course some of the guys insist you have to disconnect your line to your isp or they will get you?????
see it deals with your attitude and opinion

In my opinion, yes. It saves battery power. I don't know about you, but I don't like buying batteries.
