I have to write an informative speech on ant control and I am having a real tough time starting out, can someone help me with some good ideas for the intro, a good way to get the audiences attention.... thanks

My speech teacher in college always suggested starting out asking a question or two. Such as:

How many of you deal with stubborn ants on a daily basis? or
find an interesting fact and ask the class....Did anyone know that (insert interesting fact here)?

Were you not able to pick your own topic for this speech? Ant control seems like a hard topic to talk about or to get people interested in. Good luck though!!!
