We live in an over-privileged society because people think they don't have do do their homework and can instead post their questions online so other people will do the work for them.

I do think that the United States is an over-privileged, over-entitled, and boastful society.

We are over-privileged because many think that they can gain wealth whatever way they choose, even if it adversely affects the well-being of others. Disregard for the environment is one example. Apathy toward less fortunate people, such as the homeless, is another. Still other examples are those CEOs of companies like Enron and Worldcom who have committed fraud against their owners. Globalization and outsourcing for cheap labor is one other example among many.

We are over-entitled because we think that it is fine for the United States to export good to other countries, calling it "free-trade," when we do not import the goods of those countries. In effect, we ruin their economies and force them to be dependent on the U.S..

We are boastful because we like to think that the U.S. Dollar is still the world standard when the Euro and other currencies are rising in value. We also like to think that our economic system of ruthless competition is the ideal way for people to live by.
