I have a rental cabin and I need to know how to hook a 15 minute timer to the propane fireplace so the guests dont leave it on and run all the propane out.

I don't think this is a neat idea, but you will need a power supply and a propane rated valve, then the 15 minute timer is easy although I would be a lot happier with a 30-60 minute timer if I was renting a place with a fireplace. www.grainger.com can be a source for all of them.

I agree with mike1942f,this is a bad idea.Only a toggle or backflow protect should be used for this or you might be loosing more propane than you think ,or perhaps blow yourself up falsly thinking that you are safe when this timer is off.Any timer can fail and the inner working of a propane fireplace are scetchy at best.how does one lube them or maintain them? One doesnt.
Call a pro and ask advice I suggest.

P.S. I have used propane before and can truly relate to your plea
