If your friend is thinking about or has had her tongue pierced, then this dream sounds like an expression of fears relating to having her tongue pierced.

If on the other hand, she is not considering this, or any other piercing, the dream may be more reflective of fears of being dishonest, or having her words used against her in some way.

The fact the the dream is graphic in a negative way, it is most likely about fears in some manner or form. Working out the reason for these fears is key to solving the dream.

Take into account if she is ill, on new medication, or experiencing unusual anxiety before the dream. These may impact on the significance of the dream itself. In this case the dream could be more "organic" - a chemical reaction within the body - and therefore hold no meaning at all.

My mom told me last night that she had a dream I had a baby girl named Amelia. So this doesnt mean I am going to have a girl and name her Amelia. I have 2 boys now and do not want anymore children. Dreams like you had isn't a sign to do something. Maybe you had it because you secretly wanted a piercing all along? If you want it done then get it. Shouldnt matter what you look like or whatever. I am a "preppy" girl and I had my tongue pierced and my nipple pierced....don't recommend either. I took both piercings out shortly having them done. Tongue jewelry can chip your teeth and damage your enamal. And I hope you wont mind swallowing mac-n-cheese whole for about a week. Ugh, nasty experience. I personally will never do it again. And the nipple? ouch.

This is really obvious. The tongue symbolizes her life force. The piercing represents her willingness to take risk. The ripping of the tongue clearly shows that she is divided on how to move forward after taking risks. The chewing of the tongue shows that she is not experiencing an internal balance in her energy force and will try to negate this by repetitive processes which eventually lead to destruction rather than balance.

Sylvia Brown [that famous psychic on The Montel Show] would probably say that she had a past life in which she got her tongue pierced and it hurt and it's affecting her in this lifetime.

It means she might want to have it done but is afraid of something going terribly wrong in the process and being permanently scarred and unable to eat.

It's the Ying and Yang fighting, good sense tells her not to do it (piercing) while her alter-ego says go for it and be cool!
