Can you help with this? I did this a couple years ago and totally forgot it.

If you want to know why it's 107...

Look at the first pair 0, 7
and ask yourself, what operation can I do to 0 to get 7. There's only answer, add 7.
So look at the second pair 2,11. now it looks like I added 9, but that doesn't make sense. Maybe I did something to the 2 before I added 7. 4+7 = 11, so how did I get the four. Maybe I multiplied by two, maybe I squared it. Same thing.

Third pair should tell us for sure, 4, 23. Okay, if I multiply by 2 and add 7, I only get 15, but if I square it and add 7, then I get the 23. Let's just look at the other two pairs and see if it works. It does, so basically we know that S = R^2 + 7 and that tells us what to do with 10 to get the answer.

The answer is S = 107

Look at the first value. If R = 0 and S = 7 anyway that shows you need to add 7 to whatever you get from R.

now take 7 away from all the S values. That leaves you 0 4 16 64 for R values of 0 2 4 6 8 so S also contains R squared.

So for R = 10 then S = 10 x 10 + 7 which = 107.

r = 0
s = r*1 + 7 = 0 + 7 = 7

r = 2
s = r*2 + 7 = r^2 + 7= (2*2) + 7 = 4 + 7 = 11

r = 4
s = r*4 + 7 = r^2+ 7= (4*4) + 7 = 16 + 7 =23

r = 6
s = r*6 + 7 = r^2+ 7 = 6*6 + 7 = 36 + 7 = 43

r = 10
s = r^2 + 7 = 10*10 + 7 = 100 + 7 = 107

so when r= 10
s = 107
