Hi Donna R,

Any CD or DVD will play on a computer or in a DVD player unless the DVD player is very old it should play fine. The only question might be the +R or -R DVD format.

The DVD+R and DVD-R are competing formats much like the old VHS and Beta formats in video tapes. Today most drives are Hybrid and handle both formats. They are usually labeled DVD+/-R.

-R is the safest because it was out before the +R came along and older players might not play the +R format.

Just did a 85 pic. wedding and burned it to a cheep Memorex cdr with no problem. They loved the pics and took the disk to a drugstore and made several prints. I have no idea what kind of DVD player they have, but they told me the slide show was fantastic and have played it for family and friends several times.
